Debbie Scavia Pennock
Debbie Pennock began A Beacon Of Love, Inc. in February 2016 to support Veterans and military families. She is committed to providing Veterans and Military families with a holiday experience that they would not otherwise have with gift cards, food, and presents under the tree during the holiday season. Her goal is to ensure that Veterans and families participate in gift giving to their families and loved ones. Debbie joined Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI) in 1998 where she developed a robust, world-renowned customer support program and retired after 18 years. Previously, she had a twenty year career in the health care industry. She held the position of Assistant Administrator at Colonie Manor adult care facility managing day to day operations.
Debbie earned a Bachelors of Arts in Organizational Management at Ashford University in 2012. She received her coaching certification as a Life Empowerment Coach from the Institute for Professional Excellence In Coaching (IPEC) in 2013. Her coaching skills help Veterans and military families during difficult times throughout the holidays. She was the Director of The Third Option marriage/relationship support group in Johnstown, NY, sponsored by A Beacon Of Love. Inc. The Third Option taught skills and techniques needed to have happier, healthier marriages/relationships through development of better understanding, greater sensitivity and trust, while using more effective communication and listening skills.
Debbie is also a member of Patriot Guard Riders, NY whose mission is to provide dignity and respect at memorial services honoring Fallen Military Heroes, First Responders and honorably discharged Veterans. She is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Leatherstocking Honor Flight committee(LHF). LHF flies our heroes, free of charge, to Washington, DC to experience and reflect together at their memorials. She is the Volunteer Coordinator for the Stephen Siller Tunnel2Towers Albany, NY stair climb, to ensure we never forget and honor the sacrifices of our first responders and military heroes from 911, and was a volunteer Case Manager for the American Red Cross - Services to the Armed Forces,
Debbie is married to Kenneth Pennock II who is retired from the Army Active Guard Reserve.
