Supporting Veterans and Military Families
A Beacon of Love was a huge blessing this holiday season. I am a man of not so many words, but going out shopping and wrapping gifts this year was a blessing and I couldn’t of done it without their love and support, thank you for caring about Veterans.
2019 was a rough year for me, there was a lot of changes and nights where I was concerned where I would sleep. I was fortunate that the VA provided me with the resource to Guardian House, a homeless transitional home for female veterans. I arrived to a great amount of support. When the holidays approached I was concerned how I would be able to purchase gifts for my son and grandchildren. A generous organized, Beacon of Love, made my dreams a reality by assisting me in shopping for those gifts. I am forever grateful for all of the love and support. My grandchildren were so appreciative. Thank you A Beacon of Love.
It has been a few years since I was able to spend the holidays with my family. There were a great deal of issues I had after leaving the military. I finally asked for help and have begun my journey of recovery and healing. I am currently awaiting to hear about my disability claim and had no idea how I would be able to give my family a few small gifts this year. A local community organization reached out to help Veterans this holiday season, I was blessed to be one of those Veterans. Thank you to the generosity that A Beacon of Love provided me and my family this holiday season.
